Hello, this is the final character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
This character is inspired by one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Greed.
This character, Muzan Kibutsuji,
is theorized to be driven by greed or arrogance.
The greed theory seems to play a larger role in the story.
Why was Muzan Kibutsuji defined as the sin of greed?
Why did he focus so heavily on it?
Let's take some time to think about why his personality is so focused on greed.
I am a creature that is infinitely close to perfection.

The above statement reveals just how arrogant he is.
Perhaps this suggests that he is a person bordering on arrogance.
Looking at his interpersonal relationships,
he appears to have no relationships with anyone and trusts no one.
He avoids any risk himself...
and only seeks to exploit others.
Furthermore, everyone around him is either a subordinate,
or simply an enemy.
Then, the author wonders, why did he,
even in the worst of circumstances, so perfectly embody the devilish nature of humanity?
He could be called the worst of the worst, the absolute worst.
How could he, with such a personality, be able to live in this world for 1,000 years?

Kibutsuji Muzan
travels back to the Heian period, when he was born.
He was born the son of a nobleman.
However, from the moment he was born,
he was a sickly child, and his family assumed he was stillborn.
They tried to cremate him, but he cried out for survival,
and barely managed to hold on to his life.
However, until he was 20,
his life was spent constantly in bed, sick and ill.
This life, unsure of when he would die, left him with a neurosis.
He was finally able to recover with the help of a kind doctor who gave him a herbal medicine.
The process was so difficult that he killed the doctor.
However, as time passed, he recovered, and it seems he
had no regrets about killing the doctor.
The medicine the doctor gave him required him to consume human flesh and blood...
But he had to avoid the sun.
He felt no guilt about killing people to save himself,
but he felt humiliated by having to avoid the sun
He desired immortality,
and trusted no one but himself.
He also sought to exploit everyone but himself.
This attitude ultimately led to him becoming the enemy of all,
and setting himself on the path to self-destruction.
